Destination Safety
Understand how ZipQuantum prevents public Smart Links from reaching local, private, reserved, or malformed destinations.
Validation and quarantine
ZipQuantum normalizes browser-compatible URL and IP forms before deciding whether a destination is public. Invalid schemes, embedded credentials, malformed hosts, control characters, and overlong destinations are rejected. Local-only hosts, private or reserved IP space, and non-standard HTTP ports are quarantined.
Quarantined links
A quarantined link can remain visible to its owner for review, but it cannot redirect, create a click session, or increment redirect analytics. Mobile resolution returns HTTP 423. Editing any reviewed destination invalidates the previous review and triggers classification again.
Administrator review
Only an authorized platform administrator can release or impose a quarantine, using the exact link reference and a review note. Every decision is recorded in the activity log. ZipQuantum currently performs deterministic local classification; no external URL-reputation provider is enabled.
